Why We Built This Site
Texas provides several public access paths, yet no single system contains every Lamb County event. The sheriff and jail keep local custody and sheriff-created reports. District Clerk Room 212 holds felony files, while County Clerk Room 103 keeps the County Court criminal docket. Texas DPS maintains reported statewide criminal-history data. TDCJ covers sentenced state custody, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry supplies the public registration layer. We bring the verified contacts, portal limits, request steps, and published fees into a county-specific reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Official channels: where Lamb County clerks, the sheriff, city departments, and Texas systems keep records
- Record procedures: how name checks, personal fingerprint reviews, court inquiries, and public-information requests differ
- Local distinctions: why felony, misdemeanor, municipal, booking, and statewide records must be checked separately
- Record restrictions: how Texas expunction, nondisclosure, juvenile confidentiality, and redaction can affect public access
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Texas court, the Lamb County Sheriff, a city police department, or a state agency. Those limits are important:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot submit an expunction petition, public-information request, or court filing for you
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that an agency address, fee, hour, or procedure has not changed
Only the record custodian, such as the sheriff, the proper clerk, or Texas DPS, can issue or certify an official criminal record.
Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, prices, and terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports the resource. We do not decide what the provider returns or charges.
